Lord Jesus, you came to live among your people to experience all that we experience, so that no matter what our trials may be, you would understand. Yet you came not only to bring us compassion, but far more importantly, you came to bring us healing.
The prophet Isaiah wrote of you: "Ours were the sufferings he bore; ours the sorrows he carried."
Our trials, as well as our sins, you carried to the cross and through the cross to Resurrection.
I now take refuge in your loving heart and I give over to you...all my anxiety.
I believe you will take care of me and all who put their trust in you. I thank you for your care.
"Cast all your anxiety on him, for he cares for you..." (1 Peter 5:7)

Are we ready to listen?
Noise is in the air...
Where?
Noise is almost everywhere...
Some noise can be good...
Some noise is not so good...
Do I recognize the difference?
Do I contribute to the noise in a good way?
Do I remain silent?
Am I ready to listen?
Do I want to listen?
How can my listening be good?
In the presence of life...
I'm in awe, and ready to listen.
Will you please listen to my little voice, too?

Emphasis on Faith
As parents, we need to recognize our responsibility to be the No. 1 educators of our children, teaching them about faith in order to protect them from evil.
We can choose to change the world or let the world change us. I believe that the best resource we have to encounter God in a personal way is by praying with the Bible. The Gospel has the power to change the world. In these times, many youth have become 'bored' with God, and become susceptible to the secular gods in the world. Most of the youth who have gone astray have not known or encountered persons/parents who witness about God as love and compassion.
I choose to focus on the good. I choose to grow in my personal faith in order to share it with my spouse and children in a loving and truthful way. I can choose death and the road to perdition...to let myself be carried away in the flooding waters of the negative evils (in movies, places, programs, persons, etc.) or I can choose life and the road to salvation...to let myself be carried away in the flooding waters since my Baptism.
Which do you choose?

On praying together as family
“Only by praying together with their children can a father and mother penetrate the innermost depths of their children’s hearts and leave an impression that the future events in their lives will not be able to efface.”
